Dr. Sean Heffernan, M.D., is a double board-certified psychiatrist with more than ten years of experience in the field. Following completion of fellowships in psychosomatic medicine and treatment-resistant mood disorders, Dr. Heffernan worked in private practice, during which he guided dozens of patients and families through the transition to college. Dr. Heffernan has worked in campus wellness since 2021. He joined the JHU Student Health and Well-Being staff in 2022 and is currently the Director of Psychiatry. He is interested and involved in the development of care delivery systems and led the initiative to revitalize ADHD services for JHU students.
