Speaker Bio (200 words)
Rachel Jackson is a neuro-inclusive interior designer with 20+ years of experience, now specializing in sensory-friendly residential design for neurodivergent families. Her work sits at the intersection of interior design and occupational therapy principles, focusing on how lighting, acoustics, and visual complexity affect nervous system regulation.
She came to this work through lived experience. Her own family includes ADHD, dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, and PANDAS. That personal understanding drives everything she designs and teaches.
Rachel has trained designers across 22 countries through IDCEC-certified workshops and courses on designing for neurodivergent homes. She collaborates regularly with occupational therapists, professional organizers, and coaches to develop whole-home approaches that go beyond aesthetics.
She is the founder of Rachel Jackson Design in Austin, TX, and is launching The Home Design Lab, a membership community for designers, therapists, and families seeking evidence-informed approaches to creating environments that work with how brains actually work.
