Name
Mindfulness-based Strengths Practice for ADHD
Description
“I can’t quiet my mind.” If that’s your experience with traditional meditation, you aren’t alone – and you’re exactly who this session was built for.
Welcome to an experiential deep dive into Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP), the “proactive” alternative to traditional mindfulness. While traditional mindfulness focuses on open awareness for stress reduction, MBSP uses the power of who you are, your character strengths, to create a life that is both centered and bountiful. While mindfulness provides the pause, our character strengths provide the power to act.
What do others say about the effects of MBSP?
91% of participants reported increased overall well-being
87% improved their ability to manage problems
9 of 10 would recommend MBSP to a friend or colleague
For the mindfulness enthusiast, this session will allow you to experience a new approach to mindfulness, one that infuses open awareness with the confidence and power of your inner strengths. For those who’ve tried other mindfulness practices and didn’t find a good fit, MBSP might just be the type of mindfulness practice that feels right for you.
Note: This is a hands-on wellness session. For more about the science of MSBP, checkout the “Mindfulness for the restless mind” presentation.
