Name
Redesigning Food Systems for Low-Capacity Days
Description
Many adults with ADHD have had the same experience: the day gets away from them, meals get delayed or skipped, nothing sounds easy to make, and by night they’re eating late because the body is trying to catch up. This workshop looks at why that pattern happens and why food often becomes harder not only at dinner, but across the whole day when planning, remembering, initiating, and assembling balanced meals all depend on cognitive capacity that may already be running low. Participants will learn how to spot the hidden demands built into everyday eating, why under-fuelling earlier in the day can make food feel even harder later on, and how protein-forward, lower-friction meal support can reduce that strain. Through case examples, guided reflection, and practical redesign, attendees will leave with a clearer way to make meals more visible, more balanced, and more workable on hard days.
