Name
AI in Coaching Without Breaking Trust: A Practical Safety Framework
Description
Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming part of everyday coaching workflows, from session summaries and brainstorming to client-facing tools. While these technologies offer powerful opportunities to support clients and scale a coaching practice, they also introduce risks related to confidentiality, data privacy, and ethical responsibility.
Many coaches are already using AI without fully understanding how client information is processed once it enters these systems. This session introduces a practical, non-technical framework for using AI responsibly in coaching, grounded in real-world examples from common coaching workflows and aligned with the ICF AI Coaching Framework, the ICF Code of Ethics, and HIPAA requirements for the protection of sensitive client information.
Participants will learn how data flows through AI tools, where risks can emerge, and how to apply a practical 5-part framework for evaluating tools, setting appropriate boundaries, and protecting client trust without slowing down their work.
This session is especially relevant for ADHD coaches and professionals who value efficiency and innovation but want to ensure their AI use aligns with ethical standards and client care. Participants leave with actionable safeguards they can implement immediately.
