Dr. Childress is president of the Center for Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, Inc. where about 90% of her practice is research based. She has published more than 100 manuscripts on her research. She also has faculty appointments at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at University of Nevada Las Vegas and Touro University of Nevada College of Medicine and is an evaluator for the NFL. She is board certified in psychiatry, with a subspecialty in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Childress is Past President of the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD), Education Director for the Nevada Psychiatric Association, a distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
