Lisa Miller is the co-founder and co-director of Classroom Matters, a Berkeley-based educational support organization serving neurodivergent learners and their families for over 26 years. With a degree in secondary education and decades of hands-on experience, Lisa specializes in ADHD, executive function coaching, and supporting students with complex profiles, including PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance).
Lisa works directly with students, coaches, parents, and educators, and leads workshops on neurodivergence-affirming approaches to learning and behavior. She is the co-author of Not Your Grandmother's Pearls, a widely-read blog offering practical, research-informed guidance on parenting neurodivergent children with compassion and authenticity.
Through Classroom Matters, Lisa has helped thousands of families move from conflict and frustration to understanding and collaboration. Her approach combines evidence-based strategies with deep respect for neurodivergent individuals' autonomy and dignity. Lisa is passionate about translating research into accessible, actionable tools that real people can use in real life.
