Maria is a NY and NJ licensed social worker specializing in anxiety, grief, ADHD, depression and interested in CBT for weight management; she serves as a psychotherapist at a Community Health in the school based clinic with teens in Manhattan and leads a private practice. Maria also co-authored “Latinx in Social Work” Vol I and holds a leadership position on her local community board. As a mother to a son with ADHD and someone diagnosed as an adult, Maria offers a unique compassionate perspective, blending professional insight with personal understanding to engage, educate and empower her clients. Maria holds a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor's and Master’s in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
