Speaker Bio (200 words)
Zachary Gershon is a twice-exceptional neuroscientist based in NYC. He received his PhD from The Rockefeller University, where he studied the neurobiology and genetics of attention. His curiosity about attention arose following his ADHD diagnosis in 2016. Noticing a lack of resources for young adults with ADHD, Zach started ADDA’s Young ADDults Virtual Peer Support Group in 2017 and has been the lead facilitator since then, providing a safe and welcoming space to support over 500 ADHD young adults. He has also been on the ADHD Conference Planning Committee since 2019, where he works to increase inclusivity and accessibility. In his professional life, Zach works in the nonprofit sector to support treatment development and clinical care improvement for individuals with a set of rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorders. Outside of work, Zach enjoys playing pickleball, tap dancing, going to the theater, and game nights with his friends.
