Dr Wiznitzer attended the Northwestern University Honors Program in Medical Education with a bachelor’s degree in medicine in 1975 and medical degree in 1977. Post graduation training was Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, Developmental Disorders at the Cincinnati Center for Developmental Disorders, Pediatric Neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and NIH fellowship in Higher Cortical Functions in Children at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Since 1986, he has been Associate Pediatrician and Neurologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH with a focus on Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, especially ADHD and autism spectrum disorders, and Epilepsy. He is Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and co-chair of the professional advisory board of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) and CHADD’s Diagnosis and Treatment of Adult ADHD Project (for dissemination of upcoming adult ADHD guidelines).
