Kim Newsome combines her experience as a nurse with over 20 years of experience in public health, and 15 years in the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disability (NCBDDD). Over the years, Kim has worked on different NCBDDD efforts to understand birth defects and developmental disabilities through public health surveillance and research. She also works to provide and evaluate NCBDDD programs that support children and adults with disabilities to live their lives fully. Currently, Kim serves as the project officer for the Cooperative Agreement with CHADD’s National Resource Center and she conducts ADHD and Tourette syndrome research.
