Name
Mindfulness for ADHD: Beyond Sitting Still
Description
Have you ever thought about trying mindfulness, but felt it wasn’t for your ADHD brain? If so, this workshop is for you. Many adults with ADHD believe mindfulness is not for them—because it seems to require sitting still, staying quiet, or emptying the mind. But mindfulness is much more flexible than that. In this interactive workshop, you’ll discover what mindfulness really is (and is not), and how it can be adapted to work with your ADHD brain—not against it. You’ll explore mindfulness as a way of being that can be cultivated not only through meditation, but also through simple, everyday practices. We’ll look at what current research says while making space for real-life experience. You’ll be guided through short, accessible mindfulness practices designed for ADHD, with clear structure and supportive guidance. You’ll also learn simple ways to bring mindfulness into daily life—without needing to meditate. Through reflection, you’ll explore what works for you and how to make it sustainable. You’ll leave with practical tools, a clearer understanding of mindfulness, and resources—including a handout and access to five guided practices—to continue exploring.
